Very very well done! I was amazed by hearing and watching this performance of Prokofiev's toccata it is extremely wonderful. Vincent Dubois is a great master of organ and I adore his rendition of this extremely difficult masterpiece.

Impressive improvisation, particularly lovely the Duruflé-esque pedal solo at 14:40 ... Not very easy to recognize the melody of the "Old Hundredth" though (rather than "Old HundreAdth") ... Impressive organ too ... but which organ please? ... From the Tune I would guess somewhere in Good Old England, however the organ looks way too new, therefore perhaps an Anglican Church in Canada or the US? ... I remain looking forward to the answer, also to my final question: does he relate to the composer Théodore Dubois?

I keep returning to this performance of the Toccata on organ, even though there are lots of other renditions to be found on RUclips. I think it's because I get a sense of complete mastery here: incredible vivacity, speed, and energy delivered with a minimum of physical movement and an utterly calm demeanour. Chapeau, Vincent!

I am always touched by this somber prelude in particular. Durufle himself played it faster (listen on RUclips) than Mr. Dubois, but I love this slower approach! It can't go slow enough with this prelude. This recording sounds great, the microphones are placed close near the pipes, I love that always. Fabulously played Mr. Dubois, thank you so much!

The organ is out of tune. Why? Surely for a performance of M. Dubois they should have had the organ spot tuned. I find that though he plays this piece with technical perfection it seems too fast as do other pieces on this organ. The stop changing is distracting and noisy. There is a reason why tracker organs went out of favor and this is a good example of that. Difficult to access for tuning, noisy action, hand operated. This is 2000 not 1400. With his rapid playing I note that there are a few mistakes in the performance. That is accepted. No performance is perfectly perfect. but this is one of the best of the current European organists, skilled in technical as well as artistic rendering of an incredible range of music.

This organ is hardly able to perform more than the notes on paper. It is also seriously out of tune. Those screaming Mixtures really do spoil the effect of the music. The performance is, without doubt, M. Dubois usual technical artistry. This would have been better performed on the organs for which it was written, however. Especially important for the last several measures where chords would resonate through a very live building.

La seule chose qui me dérange dans la plupart des interprétations des œuvres de Bach c'est qu'on a l'impression d'entendre un métronome ou le professeur de solfège qui tape les temps et la mesure, c'est chiant, dans cette interprétation ce n'est pas trop le cas, bravo monsieur Dubois.
